Art of the Day: 09/16/2008
This Week's Theme:   Spam And Trout

Fun and silliness among EBSQ members spawned an inside joke that has become a bi-annual show. The first "Spam And Trout Show" appeared in the fall of 2004. It is now the fall of 2008 and once again EBSQ brings you the "Spam and Trout Show". To honor the history of this unique show and to help get the Spam and trout ideas flowing for this year, Art Of The Day brings you work from past Spam And Trout Shows.

This is my 9th painting in my continuing series of Polish Pottery still lifes and my entry into September's Spam and Trout show. Doesn't the Spam look tasty on the beautiful Polish Pottery plate?? I mean EVERYTHING tastes better when you are eating on Polish Pottery.. and of course.. some red wine and maybe lots of it will help that Spam go down nice and smooth! Again this still life is an international one, The wine glass was made by art glass designer Emanuela Rohlf in Stuttgart Germany and the beautiful flower vase was made in Tuscany by PEP Bizarre! Lets not forget the Spam made by Hormel from the great U.S.A!!! Enjoy!
