“Kinky Boots” is the title of this piece. It is a tribute to the 60’s song “These Boots are Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra. The canvas measures 12 inches square and is approximately 1 and 5/8 inches deep. The painting wraps around the edges, so there is no need for a frame. This piece is highly textured and has many layers of papers and paint. Lyrics from the song are pasted into the collage along with the zebra print boots. The background is a blue circular print divided into quadrants and outlined in black. There are yellow starbursts throughout and the cutout words are also on a golden yellow paper. The boots are coated with Liquitex glossy in contrast to the rest which is a matte finish. So the entire piece is coated for protection.
