This is my version of "Shakti", which I intended to have completed for the Images of India juried show. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. I'm glad I now have another chance... From http://www.pantheon.org (Encyclopedia Mythica): In Hindu Shakti is the eternal and supreme power, variously described as manifest energy, the substance of everything and all pervading. The Vedic meaning of Shakti is "energy." In Hinduism Shakti is a term for the manifestation of the creative principle.
