This original acrylic painting shows the main road leading down to the fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire. I have frequently painted the Bay itself but this is the first time I have attempted this view. I love the way the houses are nestled in the bend of the road. I used a colour scheme of yellow-orange and blue-violet complementaries.
This was painted in acrylics on stretched canvas and given two coats of acrylic gloss varnish to protect the work.
It is not framed.
The sides of the canvas have been painted, so it does not necessarily need framing.
It is signed by the artist.
Please note: Depending on the setting of your monitor, the colours may appear slightly different from those of the original painting. Also you must appreciate that it is impossible to convey all the subtleties of texture, tone and hue of the original work in a digital photograph.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my work.
