This week's Art of the Day comes to us from guest curator Kris Jean As grade school children, one of the first things we lean in Art Class, is about the use of opposite colors. We are told how jarring they can be, how it can effect our eyes, and how it's not a good idea overall to use them together because they are Opposites and work against one another. Flash forward to artist awareness - we learn through either art schooling, or trial and error how wonderful these complentry colors actually are. How if done just right - they become the heart and soul of a beautful work of art. |
