This Week's Theme: Dragons

Magic, legends, mythical lands and the creatures that inhabit them capture our imagination. The world we live in falls away and we are allowed to do and be in ways that take us away from the drab and common place. This is one reason why Fantasy Art has always been popular. Over the course of next few months, Art of The Day will showcase the varied landscapes and residents of Fantasy Art.

Date of Work:  2003

Drakko was created with stained glass on a wood base. Flames swirl from the mouth of the dragon and engulf the background of the piece. His upper eyelid is iridized and reflects a rainbow of colors like oil on water. Grouted in black and sealed to protect against stains. Shipped ready to hang.
