This Week's Theme: Back to School

It's the end of the summer and it's time to go back to school.

It's time for noisy bus rides and band practice, for school photos and recess on the playground.

It's time for gym class and homework, school dances and cafeteria food.

And of course it is time for that most magical thing about school...coming home at the end of the day.

This is my son playing the trumpet.

This painting is of my son's high school band from a photo taken during a competition. Their little band works so hard during the fall to prepare for competitions I wanted to preserve a piece of that dedication.
They won the Tennessee State Division I Competition with their performance.
