The still life is a standard for artists. The shapes and colours of everyday objects please and fascinate. Human beings love to eat. Eating represents sustenance, community and brings us pleasure. Is it any wonder that food often finds it's way into our art?

These chilies had to drawn! As a matter of fact, they were beginning to go bad that I had a few days left before I'd have to redraw rotten ones. Regardless, this realistic rendition was a tasty treat to illustrate because the bright greens make me feel happy!
