The New Year always makes me think of fresh starts. And with that, for me comes house-cleaning. Out with the old clutter. In with organization and things that are truly meaningful. In the spirit of keeping things tidy and fresh for the new year, EBSQ offers the following suggestions for sprucing up your online portfolio:
- Is your contact information up to date? Not just your main contact address, but also easier to forget things like your public email address and web address? (both of these can be edited under "marketing" in your profile tools)
- Have you updated your bio lately? Your cv? Your primary profile image? (which is the large picture that appears on your profile automatically if you upload it under "identity images.")
- Have you entered a show lately? If not, what are you waiting for? We have a really great line up this year. (hint--the list of 2006 exhibits is here.)
- Has your commission information changed? Make sure any listed prices are consistent with what you might have listed on your personal website, etc.
- Is one of your New Year's resolutions to get better connected in the art community? No time like the present; stop by our forums and say hello! We have sections for marketing, media and genre specific topics, general art chit-chat, and even sections for weight-loss and smoking cessation! What can we say; we like to address the whole artist. ;)
- Portfolio looking a little threadbare? Go out there and create!
Our best wishes to you and yours for a happy and healthy 2006 filled with good things and above all, ART.
Cheers,
