Now that the northern hemisphere is deep into autumn, that instinct to hunker down and "nest" comes along. Many artists, who perhaps took a break from actively "arting" in the summer, are now back into their creative endeavors full-swing, getting ready for the busy holiday season ahead.

Are you looking for a challenge to get your creative juices going? EBSQ suggests some of the following:

Nibblefest--a great eBay-related art challenge, started by our own Vicky Knowles. EBSQ has a portal for all-things Nibblefest in the public section of our message boards. This is an eBay group for monthly themed art contests. Contests run from the 20th to the 27th of every month. All artwork is listed at 99¢, no reserve. The winner is the one with the most unique bids, hence the name "Nibblefest". Everyone is welcome! Hosted by Vicky Knowles, with Noelle Hunt & Kelly Murphy.

Art By the Inch--in the spirit of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) which has become an annual November event, Art by the Inch continues in full swing this November.

ACEO Art Cards, Editions and Originals--Interested in getting into the hottest trend on eBay? Perhaps you might want to try your hand at ATCs (artist trading cards) via the official ACEO group started by EBSQ's own Lisa Luree. These cards have one main rule - they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches - the size of a trading card.

Along the same lines:

Art Squared--Art Squared artists loved ATCs and ACEOs but felt confined by the small size and wanted to work just a little bit bigger. Started by one of this month's featured artists, Cynthia Gaub.

Both ACEO and Art Squared art and artists are welcome to meet & greet on EBSQ's own ATC forum (sorry, EBSQ members only for this one):

So, whatever it takes to get your juices going, challenge yourself this month!
