I'd like to take the opportunity this month to invite our membership to participate in some very special projects. Sign ups are now under way for our annual portrait swap. Unlike other paired projects for the year, swap partners for this show are randomly assigned. This is a really great opportunity to get to meet other members, as well as stretch those artistic muscles and perhaps work outside of your comfort zone. The end results will be showcased as our exhibit for the month of November, and members will receive their finished portraits from their partners.
The other very excellent opportunity this month is to have your voice heard and put in your requests for the 2005 exhibition calendar. While there are some shows that occur annually, there is plenty of room on the schedule for your unique ideas, themes, and perspectives.
Discussions about both can be found on our message boards. And if you're not yet a member, now is a great time to join and jump into the swing of things!
