I live in Sacramento, CA and wanted to help out the first "No Kill" Animal Shelter here in town called "Happy Tails" Pet Sanctuary with a little holiday donation. Yes, a little gift for Melinie diLuck for starting the Happy Tails Shelter back in 1993 and all the volunteers that help her continue the goal of providing a safe haven for a variety of animals.
My idea was a collaboration project open to all EBSQ Self-Representing Artists who would kindly like to contribute a piece of their artwork to be framed together making one VERY unique piece of art to sell on ebay with all the proceeds going directly to the Shelter.
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a piece of ORIGINAL artwork by 13 different Self Representing artists from all over the US, all framed up together and ready to hang on your wall!
Each artist was limited to a 3" x 3" size in a media of their choosing of anything dealing with a "Cat, Kitties, Kittens, etc." This project took 1 month to complete. Each artist has contributed a piece in their own personal style which makes each one so special!
The artist name & city and state are written on the back of the frame. Each artist has signed their piece, which were all completed in Nov. or Dec. 2002.

After an opening bid of $100, the piece received 17 bids and closed for $355. The high bidder was beloved EBSQ collector Lisa Gossett, who purchased the piece as a holiday gift for her sister, who has herself rescued 4 homeless cats.
