| I sold Tar Heel Born, Tar Heel Bred II today from my EBSQart.com gallery using a paypal button. It sold to a customer who regularly shops from my EBSQart.com gallery. On my website, www.torriesmiley.com, I did not want to have to continually update it, so I created a gallery link to EBSQart.com where my website directs customers directly to my EBSQart.com gallery, that way I only have to upload and maintain the one gallery. EBSQart.com has a wonderful easy-to-use gallery~ so, it just made sense to keep things simple. ~ I am becoming very EBSQ-dependent! I use the counters on all my listings in the gallery, eBay, and artbyus. I use EBSQ to host my website gallery, and I use the listing templates on eBay and artbyus. I send EBSQ COA's with every painting. I use the hotmail editor on various websites. I don't know what I would do without EBSQart! |

| Just think ... you start a new job ... you're fresh out of school & thrown to the wolves. You meet a fellow worker & they mentor you along your way to success in the company. That's what EBSQ is ... a personal mentor. Your success as an artist is predicated on many factors, but one VERY BIG factor is knowledge. EBSQ provides you with the ability to learn on the fly. You have a question .... you get an answer. The visual tutorials are insane! Real member artists that specialize in different mediums spark interest & guide you through a project. What more ... they become your friend. |

| I'm really enjoying the experience of building my little piece of EBSQ as well as the very helpful and supportive, collaborative community. Not to mention the huge collection of inspiring art at my disposal for inspiration, grouped by medium, etc. I like to peruse all of the eZine archives, too.
AND I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH I HEART THE LIVE STUDIOS! I've bookmarked two already and refer to them often. I can't wait to start making the mosaic jewelry mirrors (a la Dorothy Edwards) and now have the courage, and desire, to do some collage/assemblage work with new materials I don't normally experiment with.
Why on earth I didn't get over here years ago is still a mystery to me.
And the membership fees are incredibly low considering the professional quality, functions and value of the site as a whole, but also as marketing tools for the individual artist. |

| I just want to thank you and everyone at EBSQ for offering me one of the Featured Artist spots. I just sold a painting for a nice, happy fee because of it. I love EBSQ and how much you, and everyone else have done to make it what it is today. There should be a KUDOS section on the Forum :) |

| EBSQ's unconditional accpetance of my art form, Digital art, has meant the world to me. It is so wonderful to belong to a community that honors and accepts the digital artist and gives venues for showing off the diversified works.
I love the community here. The forums have been great places to go for help and just a place to hang out. There is always someone there with excellent advice. And, unlike many other forums this one has no flame wars and everyone handles themselves like adults in a community.
Lastly (but not least important) the portfolio has given me a place to show the huge diversity of my work. It is a place to send people if they really want to see what I do. It means the world to me. |

| What's so great about this place anyway?
...Perhaps it is that I received a commission today upwards of $2k because someone spent two hours perusing through EBSQ looking for just the right art to showcase in his freshly renovated house. Something to fit his style. Just one reason EBSQ is so great. Thanks EBSQ! |

| I could never have an opportunity to be connected with so many artists on a personal and professional level to the extent I am other than through EBSQ. It is wonderful to be able to have that connection to share artistic struggles, triumphs and ideas. I can no longer do without EBSQ and don't know how I ever did. |

| I joined EBSQ years ago while trying to forge an online presence for my paintings....it was such a reasonably priced and easy to use format that I couldn't resist.....I still use it as my painting website...
What I wasn't prepared for was the wonderful artists' community that I was joining....I'm a bit isolated where I live so it's very important to be able to have a place like this to go to. The forums are the best... warm, caring individuals who share information generously and are always there for support in good times and bad....I can't do without my daily (well, several daily actually) dose of EBSQ friendships! |

| I was a patron on EBSQ for 2 years before joining as an artist member a year ago, and I had no idea what I was missing! The shows are an amazing motivator, and the forums are an endless source of information, inspiration and just plain fun! I have made wonderful friends here. I cannot imagine my life without EBSQ now! |

| the words "self-representing artists" under the ebsq-logo on auctions of several artists prompted me to have a look at the ebsq-site, and .. I found a huge multitude of artworks, so different, so various, and above all without any apparent rule ! not one single sterile or affected tone, no academism ! freshness, open air !
I joined, and discovered an incredible community, and I plunder shameless in there whenever I need help or comfort ! |

| I found EBSQ while browsing art on E-bay. I joined for the portfolio and templates. What I found is a home in the art world. Kind, caring staff, these peeps want to see you succeed. An outstanding, intimate, diverse community. Questions...ask a seasoned professional. They are very happy to help. Friends, an abundance of fun, goofy artists. Inspiration, artistically I would be lost without EBSQ.
In short from someone with no previous experience in the art world, EBSQ has been and continues to be invaluable. |

| I am grateful for making the decision to join and become a full member of EBSQ. After seeing many artists on ebay and other art sales sites, I viewed their work as very professional. Since I've joined I've been able to take advantage of all the services that have helped me show myself in a more professional light as well. |

| What EBSQ has done for my art:
It has definately given me a kick in the pants to paint, paint, paint! After joining EBSQ I felt like I was back in college art classes with my fellow artists, sitting around throwing out ideas and critiquing each others work. It's definately the motivation I needed.
If you are a shy, keep to yourself artist (like I thought I was) EBSQ is perfect for you. I swear the minute you sign up and can access the EBSQ boards you will be blabbing your art views in a matter of moments. |

| EBSQ is obviously a recognized entity on the Internet auction communities, so when I first joined, I thought of it as a tool to get established as a self-representing artist on Ebay--power in numbers and all that.
Looking back since I joined late March of 2002 (but not actively until June), I now realize that this group has saved me from letting my career go. It's been a tough year for my household, and I have allowed a gallery relationship to devastate me so I couldn't do any art and I didn't see beauty in things anymore.
I was desperate to change directions and the first thing that came to mind was Ebay. That was the time I joined EBSQ. There was a call for arts for Ripped Off Show. For the first time I was seeing beauty again--beauty in other artists' works. I was already a fan of DK Stone and of Lori Rase Hall because their art auctions caught my attention. So I combined them for the Ripped Show. And that was the ice pick that broke the cold wall which kept me away from my own art.
From that point I've been back doing my own art YIPPEEEE! Slowly but surely I find a lot of support on the boards and enjoy exchanging ideas and opinions with all the members who I truly respect and admire. The honesty of some of the postings are so touching--wow they are having the same issues!!! I'm consistently humbled and inspired by these artists who share my aspirations. |

| I first noticed there were art groups on Ebay by seeing ebsq in auction titles about a year and a half ago. When I finally started painting, I joined the group and found better coaches than I might have found in an art class. Getting "in the trenches" with other artists, I learned a lot about how to do certain things I'd never considered before, got some serious critiques, incredible support, it truly is a family.
Since then, I've sold quite a lot of art, met a few of the members and best of all I feel a part of something that is only going to grow leaps and bounds from where it is today. I love EBSQ |

| Most people think joining a group is about an extra keyword they can stick in their auction title, but quickly they realize it is a whole lot more. The group becomes your family, where you can share your good times and your bad. Whenever you are feeling down, there is always someone there to encourage you to keep your chin up and keep going.
Ebsq has also pioneered the way artists break into the field. Instead of having to hope someone likes your work enough to give you a chance, ebsq accepts everyone with open arms.
Ebsq has propelled my career in art from a part time hobbyist to the point where I could (if I wanted to) quit my job and make a living off my art. Without ebsq, I'm not sure if that would have been possible. |

| Since joining in spring of 2001, the Ebsq community has been my...
WINGS...Encouraging me to continue, and teaching me of the Importance of artists in society.
GARDENERS...Nurturing me, giving me the confidence to blossom by expecting more from (and for) my art.
CRUTCH...Providing me with advice, critiques, inspiration, and new ways to move forward.
FAMILY...Lending a supportive shoulder whenever times are tough |

| I have never tried to sell my art online as a non-ebsq member -- that is, I joined and did a lot of research before doing my first eBay art listing... So I think ebsq gave me the confidence and self-esteem I needed just to get going.... along with a few other factors:
INFORMATION -- I would have to say that ebsq provided me with a LOT of informational support before embarking on my online art career.
And RESOURCES! Through ebsq, I discovered canvasplace.com, and the MisterArt VIP benefit is great, too - I save LOTS of money, even after adding shipping costs, over what I can buy locally in the way of supplies.
FRIENDSHIP! I have made a few friends - people that I feel comfortable discussing things with -- and not just "art things", but anything....
I think the bottom line is PEACE OF MIND. ebsq has provided me with some kind of peace, in knowing that I can come here to the boards and sound off if I need to without being shunned, or ask for tips (whether technical or otherwise) and get advice and opinions.
Oh, I forgot -- LAUGHS! There's always SOMEwhere on this board that a member can come to for a good laugh or a bit of entertainment. |
