Lemons and Red Bowl

- by Torrie Smiley

This week's theme: Still Life

A still life is art depicting a collection of objects. Sounds so straight forward, doesn't it. It isn't. The variety of items that can be found in a still life, the myriad of styles and media used to depicted a still life make for a theme that simply can not be adequately represented in seven works of art. To see a more of this week's theme, please take some time to explore the EBSQ Still Life Gallery.

Art: Lemons and Red Bowl by Artist Torrie Smiley
I am still playing with the lemons and the new bowls I got for Christmas. Next on the list is the Flow blue teapot with the lemons.

Lemons and Red Bowl was painted using artist grade acrylic paint on a gallery wrapped museum quality canvas with painted sides. Painting was finished with a light coat of varnish.
