Art: Falcon by Artist Maureen Frank
This was one of many mandalas created after my trip to Egypt with my husband in 1999. This one was inspired by King Tut's falcon amulet. The design reminds me of the rising phoenix, a transformation. Of all of my mandalas, the Falcon is the one that I resonate with the most and best represents the dramatic effect Egypt had on me. It's message: "Let me rise above my fear and soar like the one I am meant to be."
