Mon-u-men-tal; Impressively large, sturdy and enduring. All of these words define this vehicle. It demanded my attention and nothing less than the oversized 36"x48" gallery wrapped canvas that I painted it on would do. This truck was one of a series of paintings done to display at the Golden Age of Trucking Museum. It was one of the many beauties that were on display at the time and I returned frequently for more reference photos. The museum lights reflected off of every inch of the immaculet cleaned and polished machines. The size of the painting compliments the strong presence of this truck. I used airbrush as a base with a full sheet of heavy acetate cut into gazzillions of stencils to give it's sharp edges. Then I went over it with hand brushed acrylic to give it a little texture, then again with more freehand airbrush work. The background was blotted on in layers of color.
