My young friend Susan, also an artist, is a marvelous model, graceful as a doe. Her offering is heartfelt, and I hope I captured the magic of that late autumn, late afternoon day. Normally I plan a bit more, at least sketching the form onto the canvas. In this case, I just picked up a brush and began to paint.
