This ACEO art card was created for breast cancer awareness month in 2009. It was never entered into an exhibit, so I thought I would enter it now. 'Pink For Those Who Depend On us' is in honor of the mother/child relationship and shows how much others depend on us. Many times, it's only when something devastating happens to us that we truly do realize just how much others depend on us.

As with most of my miniature artwork, this piece was done using a mixed media of watercolor paints, color pencils and ink. I find that I can achieve greater modeling effect and color balance by using a mixed media pallette.
