Prospectus

Tattoos used to be associated with sailors and bad boys. They were scandalous and the people who had them were looked at as somewhat beyond the pale. Attitudes have changed. and tattoos are now commonplace. They are decoration. They mark important moments in the peoples lives. Now tattoos are often appreciated as the remarkable works of art that they can be.

“Tattoos: Designs For And Depictions Of” is a show to showcase the art of tattoos – both actual tattoos and tattoo flash. If your entry is of a tattoo that is not an original design, please credit the tattoo artist whenever possible.

We strongly recommend all artists include a statement with each entry, as statements can enhance the experience for the online viewer. Any information about you wish to include about your tattoo or tattoo design is encouraged. If the tattoo is not your own, providing some information as to where you saw it is suggested. Names are not necessary - generalities are fine.

If the relevance of an entry to the show's theme is not readily apparent, we will request that the artist supply a short statement of explanation. We also encourage you to include detail shots of your entries. This will allow the viewer to full appreciate your work as small details can be lost in an online environment.

Eligible entries must meet all points of the prospectus. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to edu@ebsqart.com.
