Prospectus

September brings EBSQ's biennial foray into the unknown realm of Spam & Trout. What will this year's show entail? No one knows for sure, but in past years we've seen members liberally applying trout and spam (both the canned and digital varieties) to their art. Think Monty Python's Spam skit meets the Silly Fish Dance. The more surreal the better. What started as an inside joke has evolved into an institution. Help us celebrate our eighth birthday by furthering this tradition in the silliest ways possible--or prepare to meet the notorious chat trout of doom.

All entries must contain spam and at least one trout. Any and all materials may be used to create your entry. An artist's statement is required with every entry. Tell us about the materials and process you used to create your entry and something about why you chose to represent your subject in the manner or media that you did. Your statement is an important element in presenting your work online and helps make your work more accessible for the viewer. If texture or other small elements are pivotal to the piece, detail shots are encouraged. Eligible entries need to meet all points of the prospectus. If you have any questions regarding the prospectus and its requirements, please send them to edu@ebsqart.com.
