This is my rip of Doris David's wonderfully sensual piece 'Mating Season' for the Ripped Off Show 2005. All the pieces were cut from heavy card and then stuck with a hot glue gun to the canvas. Liberal amounts of paint were then applied with both brush and fingers which made for a gloriously messy construction. I really enjoyed doing this piece. The composition of Doris' work is very strong and it was a considerable challenge to try to put my own spin on a very coherent original.
