Harris Shoals is one of my favorite places in Oconee County, Georgia. The shoals, which are made beautiful by Call Creek, are easy to access and surrounded by a park with benches, pavilions, a trail, and a small sports field.
Instead of painting the entire shoals, I decided to focus on one area. I found a dry spot among the rocks and spent the better part of two days creating what I like to call a spontaneous painting. I used watercolor, including watercolor pencils, gouache, and a sepia sakura micron pen.
