This painting in painterly, energetic strokes of oil swiped with the palette knife depicts the Eiffel Tower at night.
My mother had prompted me to paint a Parisian scene for her this past Christmas...I got such a positive response from it that I have continued my exploration of the Eiffel Tower as a subject in several subsequent paintings.
This piece is comprised of several layers of thick paint creating an almost 3 dimensional appearance - a truly unique and one of a kind piece of artwork! It would be a vibrant and sophisticated piece to add to any fine art collection, or the perfect stand out work of art to start one!
This piece is signed and dated on the front and back of the painting. The .75 inch thick sides have been painted black so there is no need for framing. The original has sold but signed prints can be found here - http://www.etsy.com/listing/68841863/parisian-night-8x10-abstract-boatsDetail Images
