The Medieval Dance of Death "La Danse Macabre" originated in Paris and may be called the mother of all dances of death. (detailed images below)
The following excerpt is from
http://www.dodedans.com/Eparis.htmOh
rational creature,
who desires eternal life.
Here you have
wisdom, worth noting:
to properly end your mortal life.
It's
called the dance of death,
which everyone will learn to dance.
For
man and woman
it's
natural,
Death spares neither small nor great.
for there is
nobody whom Death does not vanquish.
It's a pitiable thing to
consider.
All are forged out of the same material.
Figure is done in polymer clay on 1/2" x 6" x 12" MFD board with collage, paper, acrylics, and colored pencils. Goggles are polymer clay with glass rhinestones for the lenses.
