Art: Fleur-de-lis by Artist Shane Darren Ervin
I chose to use the Fleur-de-lis symbol to represent Paris. The symbol is widely used in the architecture of Paris for decorative purpose. I used contrasting shapes between the subject and background. I applied thick paint to give texture to the painting. I used complementary colors through out the painting. I added a splash of contrast with the red so that the veiwer's eyes go to the focal point.
