Art: Dizzy Emu Collection Lunch (SOLD) $240 by Artist Barry Hunt

Another one of my "Dizzy Emu" paintings, depicting our feathered friend, sizing up the lunch menu.

Emus use their strongly clawed feet as a defence mechanism. Their legs are among the strongest of any animals, allowing them to rip metal wire fences. They are endowed with good eyesight and hearing, which allows them to detect prey in the vicinity. They can reach speeds of more than 50 kmh. Believe me, you don't want one of these chasing you for lunch.

Acrylic on canvas.
