Prospectus
The First Saturday in May. Those words are synonymous with The Kentucky Derby. Our love for The Kentucky Derby, and for horse racing in general, is rooted in our fascination with horses. There is a magic and a mystique to them that humans have found valuable far beyond the practical for thousands of years. It is because of this unique relationship between human and equine that we devote this show to the horse.
A statement detailing the materials, process, what made you choose your subject, and if applicable, why you chose to portray your subject the way you did is required. This increases understanding of your work and significantly enhances the experience for the viewer. As texture or other small elements may be pivotal to the piece, detail shots are encouraged.
