I was inspired to create this image during a trip to the Woodburn tulip farm in Oregon. The tulip that year were almost spent, so, photographically, I was a little disappointed until I saw this bunch. I decided to change the perspective of the picture and shoot nearly from ground level. The effect was this amazing bunch of bright tulips that seem larger than life. The colors are so prolific, the bounty represented would be a great cover for Miracle Grow, but I especially like the motion present in the piece - the sign is turning one way, the leaves are rippling everywhere and the flowers are reaching towards the sky.
