This was done in pen and ink on calligraphy paper to emphasize an old-fashioned style, similar to an antique engraving. I was trying to convey a calm and contented feeling of a herd of Holsteins seeking a cool spot on a summers' day. The title is from a line in a Peter Carey novel.
