This piece was inspired by the idea of Alice in Wonderland growing up to be a flower child. I chose pen and ink, drew this on canvas paper and stained the paper with coffee to diminish some of the harsh whiteness of the paper.
Alice is wearing glasses (representing "Through the looking glass"). Memories of tea cups and a tea pot , the tree from which the cheshire cat greets her and the grandness of a large letter "F" signal the emersion of a story ready to unfold or reunfold. "F is for Flower Child" is my more modern, grown up version of Alice.
