I wanted a piece that had emotional impact. I was pleased to touch on the sense of seeing, hearing and feeling with this painting considering it's a 2D medium. Most people can recall a deep romantic moment that make their mind swirl in a sea of hope and fear, ya?
I entered this in the "Scintillating" show because I interpret the word as stimulating. And both words together (scintillating and stimulating), absolutely gives me a sensual twinge. How much better can sensuality be expressed than through feel (lips touching and cold rain pelting your skin), scent of a lover and the freshly wet ground, and the whole visual image of all this? Drink it and eat it all up! This little piece of ACEO art in 2.5x3.5 inches packs scintillating power!
