Art: LOOKING FOR ALICE by Artist Sandy DeLuca
This is a dream. A nightmare. A woman is searching for Alice, but she's not in Wonderland. She's in a dark and somewhat Hellish realm. The creatures in the background can be interpreted as ghouls, demons or whatever words come to one's dream state or imagination. Their creator sculpted their bodies in mishap and jagged shapes. The queen isn't sitting on her throne, but its makeup is of thorny and sharp wings.

The piece is a digital collage. Repainted and altered with Corel Paint and PhotoShop.

Why did I create this morbid piece?

I've been working on a project with several artist/poets.The project is called CHANGING FACES OF DARKNESS, inspired by Federico Garcia Lorca's interpretation of Duende. It is a collaboration of poetry and art. This is one of the pieces I've created for the project. My dark and macabre imagination is showing.
