"Journey Towards The Sunlight" and my other abstract landscape paintings are not specific landscapes, but a synthesis of the scenes which left permanent marks in my memory and my imagination.
The painting is divided into two parts by an abstracted horizon. The upper part is dominated by the lightness, while the lower part is captured by the darkness. The horizon is where these two forces meet. I tried to use the horizon as a vehicle in order to emphasize the battle between light and dark. Being the transition zone, the horizon is where I tried to explore the harmony out of chaos.
The painting was created using acrylics and it is heavily textured. It was sold to a private collection in IL, USA.
