This piece is one of a set of four paintings of zoo animals. It was painted for my youngest daughter's nursery by her request. She also choose the simple white outline technique used. The challenge was to present an animal as enormous and HEAVY as an elephant in the same size square canvas as the other smaller animals.
This is for her first baby and she wanted bright, painterly images that were not too cutesy and would be appropriate for longer than the first year.
This painting is coated with a protective satin acrylic varnish. I may offer prints in the future.
