The USA is presently in an economic crisis. I was drawn to review the Depression Era and the hardships that developed during that period. It was a very emotional and tragic period for so many. Families lost their homes and were living along roadsides in self-build shanties build on site. They traveled across the USA seeking work, and many had to leave family behind. This painting was done in oils, and limited color palette representing my view of the 1930's. I believe this man has an expression of bafflement for his situation. You can purchase this painting on canvas or giclee print (various sizes) at http://fineartamerica.com/profile/sena-wilson.html
