This is my favorite painting in my Koi series. I love the effects of the background on this piece. It is a lot of fun dripping water onto the layered paint. I feel the mystery of the water, the unseen, fits Bokeh. We try to look in as the fish looks out in turn. This painted on Arches 140lb watercolor paper with Winsor and Newton artist grade paint.
This painting is in the Marin Community Foundation show at Hamilton Field in Hanger 5. It will be on display
there along with works of 12 different studio groups. A great space to see alot of fantastic work by Marin artists.
The show will be up until the end of December 2011.
