I was uncertin as to the direction I would go for this show then the entries for the show jumped out at me from my Fraktur works. Many of my Frakturs are balanced so they make a wonderful representation for the BALANCE show. Frakturs are a wonderful old folkart that was taught to students in Pennsylvania schools.Many balanced frakturs were used to illuminate wedding certificates,birth certificates. Finally they even stepped into the relm of using them for decoration. This piece is done as an ACEO in watercolor and pen and ink on Arches 140 lb.watercolor paper.
