This sculpture was created in memoriam to my grandfather, Thomas Couchie, an ojibwe from the Nipissing Reserve in North Bay, Ontario. A survivor to the Canadian residential schools, this piece was created to remember him, and every other residential school survivor.
The sculpture is part of a private collection, but, it is available for loan or purchase.
