- Spectacled Flying Fox in Cairns Australia
This photo was taken in Cairns Australia on my way to the Great Barrier Reef. These are bats called Spectacled Flying Fox. Their wing span can reach 3 feet. They were hanging right outside the hotel. At sunset they take off in search of food, then return to these trees when finished. I was amazed at their size.
