Surprised and uncertain, should he escape or keep chewing??
The little rabbit is startled to be discovered in the act of stealing a nibble of a tender new cabbage leaf. The sun is just rising on the garden. This scene is nostalgic of the Beatrix Potter story of Peter Rabbit's misadventures in Mr. MacGregor's garden.
This art was created with hard and soft pastels on Ampersand Pastel Museum Board. It has just been purchased by a buyer for their baby girl's nursery. However, I presently have prints available at my Etsy Shop.
