Art: Girlfriends Class Reunion by Artist Dianne McGhee
It was time for the class reunion and the three girlfriends, even after all these years, realized they still had so much in common. They all wore their very favorite colors, and not coincidentely, the matching necklaces they all bought together that wacky day they spent at the flea market. The girlfriends are the first in a new series of family and friends. This piece is an original, one-of-a-kind, peice of art. It measures 8 inches across and is 6.5 inches tall from the tip of the hanger to the bottom. The middle girl is 4.5 inches tall in total height. Their adorable little faces were fused individually and given dichroic eyes that just sparkle, adding to the natural glow of their complexion. They all have copper locks of hair in a style that only their hairdressers can achieve. If you look closely, you'll notice the details of their glass beaded earrings that wouldn't be complete without their glass beaded necklaces. They've been joined together with colorful stained glass in the traditional tiffany method and jazzed up with funky polka dot solder. The piece was finished in copper and given a protective finish to last a lifetime. Each piece comes artist signed and dated and will be a collectors item for years to come. Whether you hang it in the window or on the wall, it will give your friends as much to talk about as the girls do themselves.
