If you're a fellow "mermaid believer", this doll may be calling you. She's a one of a kind cloth doll made of my own non-commercial design using the finest quilting fabrics and lots of beautiful trims and beads. Stuffed with premium polyester fiberfill, she is both machine stitched and hand stitched.
Her face is hand painted with acrylics, permanent watercolors and archival ink and sealed with a spritz of UV resistant matte varnish. She has bright green eyes and a charmingly sweet smile. Her mohair blend blond hair is needle felted and sewn to her head with a bit of acid free glue at the hairline. She has lots of it so you can style it however you please. I attached her button jointed arms with antique mother of pearl fisheye buttons.
This lovely siren's tail is done in cheerful hand dyed batiks of red orange and fuchsia and adorned with an excess of fun trims including beads of turquoise, Czech glass, Swarovski bicones, tiny shells, dangle beads, metallic ric rac, cluny lace... I handmade the 'Believe' charm that hangs at her waist and accented it with antique topaz foiled cabs (there's one on her necklace as well). Like the ocean on a sunny day, she really sparkles!
She's a very large 23" in length and is signed and dated. You can hang her via a cord sewn to her back so you have a year round reminder of the magic of the sea.
