This art quilt is a tribute to Emily Dickinson. It's done in shades of pink batiks with lots of contrasting stitching. A hand drawn/painted (using fabric ink and dyes) little bird peeks thru a small contrasting window in the quilt. Below, I've printed (using fabric ink):Hope is the thing with feathersThat perches in the soul. And sings the tuneWithout the words, and never stops at all.I've trimmed this with vintage crocheted lace and added vintage mother of pearl buttons and sweet pink roses to the design. It hangs from an ivory satin ribbon threaded thu a dowel pocket in back.the quilt measures 9" x 7" not including the hanging ribbon. Signed and dated on back.Detail Images
