Some mermaids love the blazing sun but others, like Nocturn, prefer the hidden cloak of night.
This is a one of a kind art doll fashioned from my own non-commercial hand drawn pattern.
She is both machine and hand sewn.
Her top half is painted with acrylics and sanded between layers for softness. Her bottom half is batik quilting fabric with embellishments. Her cobalt blue wool hair and lace trims are all hand dyed. The hair is needle felted and glued around the hairline. She wears a vintage faceted cabochon and moon and star charm at her waist. Nocturn's arms are button jointed and she hangs from a cord sewn through her head.
