A studious little fairy quietly reads among a riot of blazing blooms. She is visited by friends of the garden, a bird and a chipmunk approach with curiosity to see what is so interesting to her in the book. This original painting was first drawn in india ink, then painted with watercolors in jewel tones. I paint instinctively and quickly... letting the energy of the subject and the moment speak.
