Capturing sunlight is one of my goals in my watercolors. I set this arrangement up early in the morning to get the best lighting. The items I choose to use are very special to me. The vase and the crystal candlesticks were wedding gifts. I think about the people that gave them to us every time I see them. The azaleas were from my yard. Azaleas donÆt last very long when they bloom, so they have to be captured soon or theyÆll be gone. I loved the way the colors of the vase, blue cloth and azaleas were reflecting in the intricate curves of the candlesticks. I enjoyed every minute of painting this challenging piece.
