Art: Velvet McRory by Artist Nancy Denommee
I have named this fabric wall hanging after my best friend in kindergarten. I've lost touch with her over the years and this doll is my tribute to her.
The body is made of muslin, stuffed with polyester fiber fill. I painted her face. She has very silky mohair hair with a peacock feather as decoration; I followed a group of peacocks and picked up the feathers. These are a very subtle version of the "eye" of the peacock. Her dress is of vintage dark green velvet with a moire silk top. A vintage lace shawl and a belt of "silver" with black jewels forms her belt. Her legs are lace which I painted to make them firm and painted her black shoes on. Her hands are in her pockets.

Original one of a kind. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from EBSQart.
