Matilda is another one of my Midnight Faes. Like all Midnight Faes, she's a bit disheveled. Because Matilda wasn't blessed with wings, she often has to resort to climbing down chimneys in order to get to the candy she's after, so she often ends up as dirty as a gargoyle!
And the problem is, she doesn't quite know how dirty she is. Matilda was very frightened the first time she saw a mirror and has been avoiding them ever since. Her morning routine consists of checking to make sure the ribbons in her hair are properly tied and once that's done, she figures she's as fresh as morning dew.
Last night, Matilda found a wonderful stash of colourful candy at Mrs. Darlington's. She's been up all night sneaking into this poor lady's house, filling her candy bag and going back to her burrow just long enough to empty it out. She then dashes back to Mrs. Darlington's home to start all over again.
