The botanical drawings of Edward Lear have come into the public domain. Beautiful illustrations, really some of the finest I have seen anywhere. As I admired them, I thought it would be hard to improve on them in anyway, expect to perhaps pull them out of the botanical style and "weave" them into a deep and passionate and rich, modern, almost tapestry like style. Anything less would be an excersize in fultility. So with that goal in mind this is the Red Maccaw.
