I have just read "Faithful" one of the autobiographies of Marianne Faithful. I have always loved her voice and heard stories about her so I really wanted to know about her real story. This painting started out as just an experiment in background textures. I often see a "face" or other image in the abstract shapes of a background. I saw a woman's face. I then realized that since I have been listening to Marianne's CD's while I work that it was her face. I painted it in and then added the words cut from books and magazines. Blazing Away is the name of one of her CD's.
Acrylic paint and paper bits on canvas board. Original painting, not a print or copy. Signed and dated on front, signed, dated and titled on back.
Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from EBSQart.
